NAVIGO 2019 FINANCIAL REPORT: GREAT SUCCESS AND RESULTS

The first post Covid-19 shareholders’ meeting for the approval of the financial report 2019 and the new projects

Over 25 yachting companies involved in research and development activities, 40 innovation and digitalization projects presented to the European Union and the Tuscan governement  which have obtained funding for a total of 8 million euros, 45 new young professionals (including superyacht captains, refitters and logistics experts) graduated with ISYL (Italian Super Yacht Life).

“A year full of great successes and excellent results” underlined Katia Balducci, president of NAVIGO – company for the innovation and development of the nautical sector, and managing director, together with the family, of the Overmarine spa and Effebi spa groups-  at the opening of the first post Covid-19  shareholders’ meeting, outdoors in the garden of the Gran Teatro of Torre del Lago Puccini – in compliance with the rules of distance and safety and thanks to the hospitality of the Pucciniano Festival Foundation.

The final balance for 2019 stood at a total of 1 million and 800 thousand euros, including the 500.000 euros of Rete Penta, manager of the Technological District for Nautical and Portuality in Tuscany, coordinated by NAVIGO.

Given the complex situation due to Covid-19, after the end of the lockdown, NAVIGO has started a debate with the associated companies to support them in the restart phase. The requests regards digitalization, marketing innovation, prototype and development sectors.

“We wanted to refocus our consultancy system on services and events – explained President Balducci – because at this moment we strongly believe that companies should be helped with market-oriented projects, improvement of networking activities, in line with the Industry 4.0 strategy, which can also be financed with grants “.

NAVIGO currently aggregates 150 companies in Tuscany and 30 companies between Sardinia and Malta (where Navigo Sardinia and Navigo Malta are active). An overall network of 500 companies involved in agreements with 50 laboratories and the main Tuscan universities and 150 projects developed in 13 years, on these topics: automation, digitalization, marinas, new materials, product life cycle, new propulsion.

In addition to the coordination of RETE PENTA, NAVIGO has four trade associations represented within itself: the Lucca Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality of Viareggio and the Province of Lucca.

Navigo is the main point of contact for local stakeholders (banks, trade unions, service companies, public administrations).
