The famous light handle and the first electric outboard hydro jet engine are the best innovative ideas of 2019. All the finalists of the awards


F.lli Razeto & Casareto and the start up I3B are the winners of the second edition of the “Luigi Gianneschi” Innovation Award promoted by NAVIGO, a company for the innovation and development of boating and by the family of the Tuscan entrepreneur.
The two companies, among the finalists of the recognition named after the founder of Gianneschi Pumps & Blowers, had the “best innovative idea” 2019 according to criteria of product enhancement, innovation, reliability, internationality and creativity.
The award ceremony took place on Friday 13 December in Viareggio during a networking evening and meetings between the companies of the NAVIGO network and the Technological District for Nautical and Port of Tuscany.
In the category “innovative company”, Razeto & Casareto “historic company from Genoa that designs and manufactures accessories and accessories for shipbuilding, confirms the validity of the OSSH © project, the luminous safety handle for yacht doors, already winner of others Italian and foreign awards. It is a range of handles that light up to be identified in critical conditions and that can communicate information indicating the color of light the escape routes for the protection of passengers, guests and crew on board. The company has achieved an international leadership position with around half of production on the foreign market. Razeto & Casareto wins a bonus for participating in the next edition of YARE (Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience) which will take place in Viareggio from 18 to 20 March 2020.
The best “innovative start-up” 2019 is I3B srl in Milan with DeepSpeed, the first electric outboard hydro jet engine for boating that drastically improves efficiency compared to inboard propeller and water jet propulsion reducing consumption and waste and increasing for increase autonomy and speed. The company is made up of professionals with a rich curriculum who have been working on the project for over 10 years. The start-up prize consists of a YBM (Yachting B2B Business Matching) session.

Special mention for Nextworks, a Pisa company that has been designing and supporting sophisticated digital systems and networks and solutions for luxury home automation on yachts and residential for over 15 years thanks to the presentation of the Interactive counter touch. A multimedia table for entertainment that is able to “recognize” the objects placed on it, such as a bottle of wine and provide a series of useful information that accompany the user during the interactive experience: presentation video notes personalized tasting and additional information thanks to the interactive table touch menus. A new way to experiment the exclusive wines within the collection of the yacht’s cellar providing a complement to the complete tasting experience that accompanies a group of guests through the discovery of a series of wines.
The other companies, finalists of the Gianneschi Innovation Award, were: Foresti and Suardi, a historic company in Lake Iseo, a territory of craftsmanship famous throughout the world with Flatwash, an innovative system of deck shower, Sovit dynamic company of Pietrasanta with the creation of glass variable radius bends for yacht side coverings, Tourist Fun Boat Viareggio for the offer of private and exclusive tourist excursions on taxiboat, Xenta young reality of Lazio with the Xenta Joystick system with an innovative intuitive and simple steering system use and Seares start up of Lucca with the Seadamp Plus energy recovery mooring system.
